SWTOR: BioWare Confront UI Bug And Take Measures Immediately

Now, the brand new online game Star Wars :The Old Republic released not for a very long time, but it has attract many people living in it. Making swtor credits, leveling up ,enjoy all the game interesting parts. But, it is cannot avoid some troubles. Recently, the SWTOR confront UI bug. Next is the detail information.

Players have been having trouble with the textures and character models in Star Wars: The Old Republic. BioWare’s Stephen Reid was quick to address this issue. According to Reid, the ‘medium’ texture setting was actually a ‘bug’. The setting was not supposed to be an option. He also went on to issue a long, technical statement talking about the texture and character problems.

When the game get into such trouble, the producer in the first time , check it and give some explainations to all players.  Reid explains that, “The preferences menu as it is seen on the Public Test Server for version 1.1 of the game is correct, there are only supposed to be two texture choices, ‘Low’ and ‘High’.” So, the Low/Medium/High three-choice preference would be scrapped. Then, Reid moves on to explaining why character models were inconsistent by flicking between ultra-high detail in cut scenes and lower detail for the actual gameplay. This is what he had to say about the inconsistency: ”In comparison to single player games and other genres of multiplayer online games, MMOs have much higher variability in the number of characters that can be potentially rendered on-screen at the same time.”

There are scenarios in which the client and the PC will have to work extra hard to show a lot of characters all at the same time. During testing, Reid and his team found out that using ‘maximum resolution textures on in-game characters while normal gameplay is going on can “cause severe performance issues, even on powerful PCs.” Reid does promise that he and his development team are at the moment” exploring options to improve the fidelity of the game”, especially for those who own high spec PCs. “It will be a significant piece of development work and it won’t be an overnight change, but we’re listening and we’re committed to reacting to your feedback.”We understand and we sure are waiting for the results of the bug fixes.

Now, I think all of you are able to get a smooth playing time.I think the BioWare had done a good job, if such an online game want to get a longer development, they need to make a good communication with all game users, always try their best to improve their game service and then they will have chance to get the final success. Hope all players will get a happy time in SWTOR.
